Belvedere Hotel Review - a calm spot to retreat with a stylish pool area in the heart of Mykonos
Belvedere is located in a residential area on Rohari Hill opposite The School of Fine Arts Mykonos, only a 5 minute minute walk from the heart of Chora. The Belvedere was an old mansion dating from 1850. Transformed into a hotel in 1985, the heart of the hotel is the stylish pool area, which features white day-beds with cushions to relax and enjoy the sunset from. To escape the heat, get up early to grab a shaded spot, then head off to one of the beautiful beaches - the northern beaches of Agios Sosti and Panormos provide a peaceful contrast to the young and loud "Paradise" and "Super Paradise" beaches which become packed in summer time. The hotel will arrange your car to be dropped off and collected and Valet parking is provided - just leave your car outside reception.
Rooms
The Belvedere rooms and bathrooms are spacious, but not overly modern - using traditional Greek materials including marble floors and whitewashed walls. The hotel has 41 rooms and 6 suites. All rooms have a small balcony, however there are no views on the ground floor rooms, therefore the sea view rooms are the ones to go for:
