Drawing inspiration from the essentials of modern and ancient life, the atmosphere at the Hempel is imbued with a sense of the natural and the serene. Located just north of London's Hyde Park in Bayswater, The Hempel's 47 bedrooms are all individually designed around the garden square.
The design is based on natural materials and the colour scheme is honey, beige and flax or with a darker palette of dove grey, slate and black. Bathrooms are also individual and range from the traditional Japanese style stone bath to the sunken tub and the free standing bath. The monumental lobby is a vast elegant space, bathed in ever changing light and shadow from the Atrium above. Outside The Hempel Garden Square ia a perfectly restored space, where the three square pools reflect the white Georgian façade of the Hempel. I-Thai, the hotel's signature restaurant offers Oriental and European cuisine with a focus on the essence of Thailand, Italy and Japan. The Jade Room and The Shadow Bar are indoor bars adjacent to I-Thai Restaurant and the The Hempel Garden Square, suitable for resting in a space of tranquillity and enjoying a refreshing afternoon drink or cocktails in the early hours of the evening.
