Karma Kandara was launched in March 2008 and is located in the south of Bali in a cliff top location looking over the Indian Ocean. The setting is spectacular, although it is not ideal for guest wishing to explore Bali since it’s a little off the beaten track.

The resort has villas with sea views and an infinity pool, designed in a European-Balinese style with Mediterranean colours and Ylang Ylang roofs. Some villas are built around a courtyard for privacy, others offer sea views. The Kandara resort involves 4 phases and phase 1 is complete and running as of March 2008.

At the cliff edge is the Di Mare restaurant which is a stunning setting for breakfast and dinner, where you can hear and see the Indian Ocean thundering at the bottom of the cliffs. A small 5 person elevator transports guests from cliff top to beach-side in less than a minute. The beach has lunch snacks, sun beds and daybeds for chilling out and watching the fishermen harvest the seaweed along the beach front.
     

Villas /Rooms
There are two main choices  all with varying number of bedrooms to suit your party size:

Sea View villas (with varying level of sea views)

Balinese Style Villas (more privacy)

You’re in Bali, so try the Balinese style villas, or the Grand Villa, right at the ocean’s edge.

The villas all feature a fully equipped kitchen a stocked mini bar, so guests can easily prepare something light, or choose their own food. There is a dishwasher and washing machine in addition to a laundry service.

What to expect: 
European style villas with a villa plunge pool, sun loungers, Gazebo and lots of space.

Rooms to choose
The Grand Villa has the best views and is right on the cliff edge.
