The Viceroy consists of 11 villas and is located just outside Ubud, high above the Petanu river. At the top of the resort, the reception area looks down towards the beautiful infinity pool with views over the valley. Peace and tranquillity at The Viceroy is apparent as soon as you arrive. The Viceroy’s complementary on demand chauffeur service to Ubud means that it is easy to explore the restaurants, shops, crafts and cultural attractions that Ubud has to offer. The beautiful Lembah Spa is a highlight at The Viceroy - perched on the hillside with dramatic open views of the river gorge, guests can also enjoy the steam room, cool plunge pool and Jacuzzi. With only 11 villas, the restaurant can be quiet in the evenings, so surprise your other half with a romantic candle-lit poolside table and gaze over the infinity pool towards the river. At breakfast, request the private table near the river’s edge, close to the Spa for the most dramatic views.
Villas
The following are the villa types and the number of each villa type:
Terrace Villas (4) – with a romantic Bale and dramatic overflow plunge pool
Garden Villas (4) – with outdoor bathrooms & completely covered pool and terrace
Vice Regal (2) – with private garden swimming pool and uninterrupted views over the Petanu river gorge
The Viceroy Villa (1) – vast luxury living fit for royalty
Hotique favourites are The Terrace villas or Vice Regal villas where guests can sunbathe privately in their own villa.
The Garden villas feature a covered terraced outside with daybed – best for shade lovers (Note that the Garden Villas are the only villas that do not feature the traditional Balinese style Alang Alang roofs)
What to expect:
Privacy, a villa plunge pool, a Bale (Gazebo) in all rooms except Garden villas. The Viceroy and Vice Regal villas are at the bottom of the resort and feature a private garden area.
Rooms to choose
Terrace villas with Bale (Gazebo) and small overflow plunge pool or Vice Regal I with outside garden area. Choose the Viceroy Villa for the most spacious villa and largest plunge pool or if you require 2 bedrooms.
