The Water Villas are on  Meddhupparu Island and accessed via seaplane in 40 minutes directly from Male airport.

The Water Villas resort is the 5 star resort on the island, and it separated from a larger resort on the same island – there is a clear divide between the 2 resorts, although Water Villas guests are free to explore the rest of the island. The Water Villas has its own restaurant where meals are served and an overflow pool with ocean views. As it serves only 20 rooms, the atmosphere can be a little quiet, so reserve a table outside by the sea for the prime spot for sea life watching – reef sharks, eagle rays and more. There is also a pianist at dinner 3 nights a week.

There is a small private beach for the Water Villas guests, with sun beds, shade and service as well as your own private terrace which has a chill out bed.

Service
Each room has its own butler. Now, this may take some getting used to for some guests as the butler will want to do everything for you – even make the coffee or run your Jacuzzi bath. At breakfast and at dinner the waiters will shake you by the hand to welcome you, which can seem a little formal at first, but at the Water Villas they aim to tailor everything to your needs – just ask – even breakfast can be served at any time which makes for a relaxed start to the day.

Watersports and activities: Snorkelling, diving, wind surfing, sailing, waterskiing, wake boarding, day trips and private beach dining. Water sports are offered as part of the main resort on the island.

Rooms
The rooms are spacious and feature a large main room. Each villa is semi-detached and has its own private terrace with daybed, Jacuzzi bath and a small table for outside dining.

The rooms have large sliding glass doors to make maximum use of the view and there is a glass viewing floor on the terrace, just outside the main room. The rooms are all decorated in the same so if booking early, request a Sunset view.
